With its one-of-a-kind style and mainstream music, Cartone all day café-bar restaurant is a great place of choice for coffee, food and drink in Gazi. Outside, you will find tables with a youthful crowd, while the interior houses an amazing world designed by the famous architects Gavalas and Mourikis and made out of cardboard — hence the name Cartone. Suspended cardboard scooters, cars, a real size jeep and cooking vessels are the elements of an advanced decorative concept, which enhances an already cozy atmosphere. The Mediterranean menu, also including pasta, risotto, salads, snacks, burgers, steaks and pizza for all tastes and perfectly accompanied by fine wines, is based on the same philosophy. The mastermind behind the menu of Carton, Chef Yorgos Gasteratos, remembers how cooking has always fascinated him: “As a kid, when I watched the celebration feasts in Asterix and Obelix, or Poldo wolfing burgers in Popeye, I felt some kind of magic. When I was 18, I decided to study at LE MONDE Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies, having my childhood years in mind and that unique love for culinary art in my heart. As the chef of Cartone, I still feel the same childlike enthusiasm every time I create new dishes and unique delicious combinations for our customers. I am committed to always delivering the best possible result with pure passion and excitement.”
